Where will our dreams take us?
Dream Machine explores the meeting point between human creativity and artificial intelligence. It transforms thoughts into rapidly generated architectural visions, revealing how imagination and artificial intelligence amplify one another—shifting the question from what is possible to who is shaping it. The installation frames AI as a creative instrument within architecture—both powerful and controversial—bringing questions of authorship, agency, and creative control to the forefront at the exhibition I’m Not a Robot, Utzon Center, Aalborg.
A custom-trained AI model translates words, gestures, and choices into evolving spatial expressions in real time—blending style, material, structure, and natural inspiration into an endless stream of architectural possibilities. Interaction becomes a form of making. You don’t simply generate images—you collaborate with them. Ideas are fed into the system and reflected back at speed, forming a dialogue between intuition and algorithm.
Ultimately asking: Is AI creating with us or quietly shaping what we create? And who holds agency when imagination becomes collaborative?
Dream. Flow. Catch. Print. Inspirational structures, shifting spaces, unexpected connections. Push an idea further, or let the system reveal something you didn’t know you were looking for. Catch fragments of meaning in the stream—and crystallize them into form. Gestures become brushstrokes. Prompts become material. Architecture emerges as something shared between human and machine—always in motion, always slightly out of reach.
Take a vision from the stream. Print it. Carry it home. A trace of a shared imagination, formed at the edge of possibility.
